How I Work
Every system has a history: decisions made under pressure, constraints nobody documented, workarounds that became the default. Before I change anything, I map the full picture. Not just the broken step, but the whole chain that produced it. AI helps me get through that audit fast. The goal stays the same: understand the production system end-to-end before redesigning any part of it.
My Process
I look for where the handoffs are. With AI, producing a complete version costs almost nothing, so I start there: build something end-to-end, find out where it breaks, work backwards. The question I keep returning to is which steps in this sequence could be collapsed, reordered, or cut entirely. Making one step faster rarely changes much. Changing the sequence usually does.
My Goal
Whatever form it takes, if someone has to stop and figure out what a system is doing, something has gone wrong. My job is to close that gap: design clear enough that people can trust it.
